*cut to me stepping on the scale, and the Weight Watchers lady mouthing "Wow"*
"Did I gain??"
"No! You lost 2.5 pounds!"
"2.5 pounds? That's disappointing..."
I was hoping for another five, but I'm already slowing down.
She seemed to be impressed, but I would have been more impressed had I lost 5lbs or more.
I've got to stop watching that show.
Either that, or start exercising 8 hours a day like they do so I can lose 13 pounds a week.
Hmmm, maybe I'll just stop watching it.

I've heard that it's healthiest to only lose a few pounds per week, and easier to keep it off if lost slow and steady.
I can't imagine how many hours in the gym the biggest loser people have to spend just to maintain it once they lose it.
hey, girl, don't beat yourself up! you had a great first week followed by a successful second week. that's more than i've lost lately! :)
i watch the biggest loser show too, while eating something unhealthy, usually.
guess i'm NOT the biggest loser after all. ;( (cut to Ali saying that to the most recent voted off contestant)
i just had to check back to see if you'd changed your background. sure 'nuff, it's different. :)
thought this wouldn't be your a.d.d blog. ha ha
They work several weeks to get those numbers. The show doesn't accurately depict what is really happening. Even 8 hours in a gym per day won't give double digit weight loss in a week without health repercussions.
Once I found this out, I lost my desire to watch the dang show.
I have not lost a pound in the last two weeks and I have been doing 30 minutes on my Wii and 20 minutes with Jillians--her 30 day shred. But I'm trying really hard to stick with it.
Congratulations! 2 1/2 pounds is amazing!!! Keep up the great work. You are really inspiring me, Carrot. It's funny, I had the same thought about Biggest Loser this week. At least I'm not eating a big bowl of ice cream anymore when I watch it!
